Creative Writing Club – Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all parents and guardians registering their child for the Creative Writing Club, operated by Tolulope Popoola / Accomplish Press. By registering, you agree to the following:
1. Registration and Payment
- A completed registration form and full payment are required to secure your child’s place in the club.
- Payment confirms booking. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Class fees are non-refundable, except in the unlikely event that the course is cancelled by the organiser.
- If your child is unable to attend a session, refunds or make-up classes cannot be guaranteed, but resources and recordings (where available) will be provided.
2. Free Trial Session
- Each child is entitled to one free trial class before committing to the full programme.
- After the trial, parents must register and make payment before the child can attend further sessions.
3. Attendance and Participation
- Classes begin promptly at the scheduled time; please ensure your child logs in or arrives on time.
- Regular attendance is encouraged so that students benefit fully from the programme.
- Parents should ensure their child participates in a quiet, distraction-free environment during online sessions.
4. Class Behaviour and Conduct
- All students are expected to show respect and kindness to their teacher and classmates.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the class without refund.
- Parents will be contacted if behavioural issues arise.
5. Use of Student Work
- From time to time, outstanding pieces of writing produced during the course may be selected for publication on Accomplish Press or Creative Writing Club platforms (e.g. website, blog, or social media).
- By registering, you grant permission for your child’s first name, age, and work to be shared for educational and promotional purposes, unless you inform us in writing that you do not consent.
6. Copyright and Materials
- All lesson slides, worksheets, and resources provided by the Creative Writing Club remain the intellectual property of Tolulope Popoola / Accomplish Press and must not be copied, shared, or distributed outside the club.
- Students retain copyright of their own original writing.
7. Safeguarding and Privacy
- All online sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive, and educational environment.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s internet use and ensuring access through a secure device.
- Personal information collected during registration is kept confidential and used only for administrative and communication purposes.
8. Changes and Cancellations
- The Creative Writing Club reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, technical issues, or emergencies). In such cases, an alternative date will be offered or a session credit applied.
- Programme content, dates, or formats may be updated from time to time to improve the learning experience.
